Deployable Turret Guide

GeekOut Studio posted a deployable turret for Survive the Swarm in January 2026. The copy is specific: keep your distance from attacking insects, then let a little assistance hold the line. Place the turret, strategize that placement, and lead the pack toward the fire. This page is the how-to for that tool — not a promise that every lobby already has it equipped. If the icon is not on your bottom-left weapon bar, treat the turret as a teaser and play the kite you already know from How to Survive.

Survive the Swarm is a free Roblox survivor-like. Weapons auto-attack. You pick an upgrade every level. Servers hold up to 60. The live HUD still centers WAVE, a countdown, HP, LVL, purple crystals, a multi-weapon bar, Shift or Space dash, currency, Team Invincibility, and Stun All Enemies. A turret that only exists in a studio clip is not a fourth panic button until you can tap it in a run. Cross-check ship status on the lobby and turret teasers page and the patch notes timeline.

What the studio actually showed

The January 2026 post is a placement lesson, not a DPS sheet. The turret sits still. You do not. Insects follow you. If you kite a ring that never crosses the turret’s arc, you paid for a lawn ornament. If you kite a ring that drags the blue cubes through that arc and then dash out, the turret is doing the job the sword used to do alone. That is the whole idea. Official screenshots already show grassy courtyards with stone pillars. Those pillars are kite posts. A turret wants the same geometry: a funnel, not an open field you sprint across.

Do not invent ammo counts, rotation speed, or a hidden engineer class. This is not Survive Zombie Arena and it is not a tower-defense tycoon. The Survive the Swarm turret is a deployable assist in a Vampire Survivors-style run. Your loadout bar can already hold several auto-attacking weapons. The turret is extra coverage that does not walk with you.

How to place it without dying

Place it where you can still see WAVE and your HP. A courtyard corner that traps you against a wall is a bad corner, even if it looks safe in a screenshot. Leave a dash lane. Leave a crystal path. If the first place you tap is inside the current swarm, you will eat red cubes while the turret boots. Dash Shift/Space to a quiet patch of grass, drop the turret, then rebuild the oval so the pack walks through the fire on the way to you.

Think of the turret as a second player who cannot dodge. You are the bait. Co-op makes this easier because a friend can hold the opposite side of the ring, but a solo run still works if you respect the cooldown pip. Do not drop two plans at once: a turret in a death pocket plus a 49-cost Stun All Enemies you cannot afford is how Wave 8 ends.

How it fits the rest of the loadout

The bottom-left bar is still the truth. Boomerangs clear groups. Machine Gun holds long Trenchline runs in community clips. The starter sword teaches spacing. A turret does not replace those slots. It covers the slice of the courtyard you are not standing in. Read weapons and the weapon tier list before you skip a Machine Gun level to “save space” for a turret that might not even be in this build.

Shop powerups remain separate. Team Invincibility and Stun All Enemies each last 30 seconds and cost 49 currency. Use them when the ring has already closed and the turret cannot see the insects hugging your hitbox. Details live on powerups. High-wave clips with revives belong on high waves. Trenchline pillars as kite posts belong on maps.

If you cannot find the turret yet

January 2026 said “preview-only.” The Roblox place last listed an update on 20 August 2026 with the title Survive The Swarm! [UPD]. That stamp does not name the turret. If your session has no deployable, you are not behind a secret quest we forgot to write. Play the getting started loop, stack weapons, and watch Discord plus the GeekOut Studio group on official links. When the icon appears, come back to this page and place it on a funnel, not on your own feet.

Optional Robux that doubles some end-of-run rewards does not spawn a turret. Codes do not either — and this wiki still has no independently verified public code strings as of September 2026. See codes. Scripts that claim auto-turret hacks belong on the scripts hub as a warning, not a loadout.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Quick answers for Survive the Swarm on Roblox.

Is the Survive the Swarm turret in the live game?

GeekOut Studio teased a deployable turret in January 2026. Confirm it on your weapon bar. If the icon is missing, play the normal kite from How to Survive and watch lobby teasers.

Where should I place the turret?

On a funnel you can kite through, with a dash lane out. Lead insects into the line of fire. Do not pin yourself to a wall. Maps covers courtyard pillars.

Does the turret replace Machine Gun or boomerangs?

No. It covers a slice of the yard while you move. Keep stacking auto-attack weapons as in weapons.

Should I buy Stun All Enemies instead of placing a turret?

They solve different problems. Stun and Team Invincibility are 49-cost, 30-second shop buttons. See powerups.

Can a teammate watch the turret in co-op?

Yes. One player kites, another holds the far side of the ring. Read co-op for 60-player server habits.
