Survive the Swarm Tier List Hub
A September 2026 community snapshot, not an official GeekOut balance sheet.
This hub is the ranking map for Survive the Swarm, the free Roblox survivor-like from GeekOut Studio that launched on 3 October 2025. Servers hold up to 60 players. Weapons auto-attack while you kite cube insects — a blue swarm plus larger red bugs — you pick an upgrade every level, and a finished run pays rewards. Official footage at wave 22 shows a multi-weapon loadout: several weapons fire at once, each with its own level on a bottom-left bar.
Nothing here is an official ladder. GeekOut Studio has not published a numbered power table or a rarity chart. These lists are a September 2026 community snapshot built from official screenshots, that wave 22 footage, and public runs such as a Trenchline hold to wave 76. Letter grades will move after patches. Read them as working notes, then confirm habits in the weapons guide and the upgrades guide.
Use this page to pick a lane, then open the child lists. The weapons tier list ranks only tools we can evidence. The upgrades ranking compares extra projectiles and weapon levels against raw HP and shop panic buttons. The heroes ranking compares the starter sword fighter with Mage. For named kits and loadout templates, jump to the Heroes Hub and community builds.
Ranking criteria we actually use
Four questions decide a grade. Clear speed is how fast a tool deletes a pack so the next ring does not spawn on top of you. Returning projectiles and sustained auto-fire score well because the game already aims. Sustain is whether you can keep fighting without the health bar collapsing. Community notes flag Mage as high damage with a faster HP drain than the sword kit, so sustain is not the same as raw hit strength. Kite safety is how much room the tool gives you to circle. Melee asks you to stand in bite range. Boomerangs let you lead insects through a kill zone while you dash with Shift or Space. Unlock cost is friction before you even equip the thing. The starter sword is free on day one. Mage is a later buy. A tool that is strong after a shop spend still loses a beginner grade if you cannot test it on the first run.
We do not invent numeric DPS. We do not invent hero names beyond Mage. If a weapon is not on the evidenced list — starter sword, boomerangs, Machine Gun, Mage staff — it is not ranked here. The roster expands with updates and in-run level-ups; check the new weapons notes instead of assuming a finished catalogue.
How the three child lists split the work
Weapons answer “what should auto-attack while I move?” High tier currently holds boomerangs (official screenshots, returning yellow and red projectiles, strong versus groups) and Machine Gun (community runner Step Phương used Machine Gun level 5 to wave 76 on Trenchline). The starter sword is low-mid as a late carry and fine early. Mage staff is community-reported, not a guaranteed S. Details and caveats live on the weapons ranking.
Upgrades answer “what do I tap when the level-up panel opens, and what do I buy in the HUD shop?” Extra projectiles and weapon levels multiply the auto-attacks already sitting on that bottom-left bar. Raw HP matters when you still have about 100 health at wave 1. Shop TEAM INVINCIBILITY and STUN ALL ENEMIES last 30 seconds and cost 49 currency — panic tools, not a replacement for kiting. The upgrades ranking walks those types without fake upgrade names.
Heroes answer “which body do I walk into the swarm with?” Official copy says you play as heroes from other worlds. Public comments name Mage. Thumbnails show a starter fighter with the sword. The rest of the roster is expanding and unnamed in public notes, so this wiki will not invent a twelve-name chart. The heroes ranking and best heroes pages tell you who to play first and who to buy later.
How to read a letter grade
High / S means the tool has a public high-wave signal or official footage that matches how the game is played: move, auto-attack, do not stand still. Mid-high means strong with a caveat. Low-mid means honest and always available, with a real weakness — usually range. Situational means a trade: Mage staff hits hard and the kit melts health faster than the sword fighter, so it is a pick for players who already kite cleanly, not a default buy.
Grades shift when GeekOut ships another weapon drop. If you are still learning movement, start on how to survive and the maps guide for Trenchline routing, then come back here to spend a level-up with intent. Purple XP crystals fuel those levels; leaving them on the grass is a silent downgrade. For codes that might speed unlocks, use the codes hub. Before a long session, run the loadout checklist.
What this hub will not do
It will not publish a fake S–F chart of unnamed heroes. It will not list invented damage numbers. It will not call a community Trenchline clip an official ranking. It will not tell you to skip the starter sword on run one; that kit is how you learn kite safety before you pay for Mage. Rankings describe tools. Surviving still depends on circling the pack instead of running through it, and on treating this page as a snapshot dated September 2026.
Frequently Asked Questions
Quick answers for Survive the Swarm on Roblox.
Is this an official Survive the Swarm tier list?
No. It is a September 2026 community snapshot from footage and public runs. GeekOut Studio has not published a numbered ladder. See the weapons list for sources such as the Trenchline wave 76 hold.
What criteria decide a high grade versus a low-mid grade?
Clear speed, sustain, kite safety, and unlock cost. A shop buy cannot outrank a free kit for beginners. Details live on the upgrades list and the heroes list.
Which weapons are actually ranked here?
Only evidenced tools: boomerangs, Machine Gun, starter sword, and Mage staff. The roster grows with updates and in-run level-ups — see new weapons rather than a finished catalogue.
Where should a new player start on this hub?
Read how to survive, then the weapons ranking. Do not buy Mage until you can kite with the starter sword and dash on Shift or Space.
Do these grades include every hero in the game?
No. Official copy promises heroes from other worlds. Public comments name Mage. Unnamed kits stay unknown on the heroes ranking and the Heroes Hub.
When should I refresh these lists?
After a weapon or balance patch. Start on new weapons, then return here and re-check the loadout checklist.
