Survive the Swarm Maps
Walled courtyards, Trenchline, and using stone pillars as kite posts instead of dead ends.
Survive the Swarm does not send you through a campaign of unique biomes. The arenas that show up in studio and community footage are grassy walled courtyards with stone pillars, plus at least one named map: Trenchline. That is enough geography to get people killed. Walls shrink your kite oval. Pillars can split a swarm or trap you. A long yard that looks like a trench invites a straight sprint — the exact line GeekOut Studio tells you not to take.
This page is routing, not a tourist atlas. We will not invent map names, secret rooms, or boss arenas that never appeared. Pair it with How to Survive for the oval itself and How to Play for the loop you are routing.
Courtyard arenas
Think of the default space as a fenced lawn. Cube insects — small blue swarms, larger red bugs — pour across the grass. Purple crystals drop on the floor. You walk a circle near the rim of the pack so auto-attacks clip the edge while you scoop XP. The walls are not cover. They are the thing that turns a circle into a line when you get pinned.
Open grass is the resource. If you hug a corner, dash Shift/Space has nowhere to land and the cooldown pip becomes a spectator. If you hug the exact center, every insect path intersects you. The usable belt is between the pack and the wall, wide enough that a dash still finds a gap. WAVE countdown still runs while you admire the fence; Wave 1 and Wave 22 use the same timer widget, so the courtyard does not get “safer” because you learned the art.
Other players in a server of up to 60 occupy that belt with you. A teammate parked on your oval is a moving wall. Steer as if they were a pillar you did not ask for. Team Invincibility (30s, 49) can cover a clump of people who all got squeezed into the same corner; it does not widen the map.
Pillars as kite posts
Stone pillars are the only reliable furniture. Drag the swarm around a pillar so the far insects eat stone while you walk the safe arc and vacuum crystals. That is a kite post: a object you orbit, not a rock you hide behind. Hiding still puts the pack on three sides. Orbiting keeps the pack on one side.
When the oval shrinks, dash through the gap that the pillar created, not through the densest blues. Then pick a new post. Chaining posts is how you stay in the courtyard during dense waves without spending 49 every ring. Stun All Enemies (30s, 49) is the backup when two pillars and a wall have boxed you — freeze, walk to open grass, rebuild. Shop timing stays on the survival page; the map lesson is that a pillar you planned is cheaper than a stun you panic-bought.
HP still tells you if the post worked. Wave 1 starts 100/100. Later footage shows 116/120. If the bar slides while you “use” a pillar, you stopped orbiting and started hugging. Reset the arc before you blame the loadout.
Trenchline and the wave 76 clip
Trenchline is the named map we can point at. A community clip cleared wave 76 there with Machine Gun level 5. Watch it as routing, not as a leaderboard. The lesson is that a long named yard still rewards stacked auto-attacks on the move, not a heroic charge down the trench. If the space feels like a corridor, you are probably walking the diameter of the pack. Find width, find a pillar, restore the oval.
Machine Gun at level 5 by wave 76 is also an upgrades lesson: weapon levels on the bottom-left bar grow if you stay alive and keep firing. It is not a Trenchline-only drop. Read weapons and upgrades so you do not treat the clip as a secret spawn table. Boomerangs (yellow and red returning projectiles on official screenshots) and the starter sword work on the same grass. Players mention a Mage staff as possibly strong; Mage still melts HP faster, which a tight Trenchline line will punish.
Difficulty rounds exist on these arenas. A separate clip reached wave 92 with several revives. That clip does not name a second map in the material we are allowed to use, so we will not pretend it does. High-wave pressure is still courtyard geometry plus a revive budget. Do not spend revives exploring a wall.
Choosing a line before the timer spikes
Before Wave 1 ends, pick a pillar and a direction you will orbit. Confirm dash on controls. Confirm you will not shop on the first surround if a post is still free. After the run, compare kits on the tier list, weapon tier list, best heroes, and builds. Pre-flight the next session with the loadout checklist. Redeem codes in a menu. Studio map or weapon drops belong on new weapons and wiki links (Discord, GeekOut Studio group, Twitter @GeekOutStudio).
A turret was announced in January 2026. Until it is furniture you can plant in a courtyard, do not plan Trenchline around it. Optional Robux can double some end-of-run rewards after you used the yard well; it cannot un-pin you from a corner. Survive the Swarm maps are small on purpose. Master the lawn, the post, and the named trench, and every other guide on this hub has a place to happen.
Frequently Asked Questions
Quick answers for Survive the Swarm on Roblox.
What maps are in Survive the Swarm?
Footage shows grassy walled courtyards with stone pillars. The named map we can cite is Trenchline, including a community wave 76 clear. This wiki does not invent extra map names.
How do I use pillars?
Orbit them as kite posts so the swarm stays on one side. Do not hug them as cover. Dash Shift/Space through the gap a pillar creates. See How to Survive.
What is special about Trenchline?
It is a named arena. A community run reached wave 76 with Machine Gun level 5. Treat the clip as routing proof that stacked auto-attacks still need an oval, not a sprint down a trench.
Do maps change the HUD?
No. WAVE countdown, HP, LVL, crystals, loadout, currency, and the 49-cost powerups stay the same widgets. Getting Started explains them.
Can teammates block my kite path?
Yes. Servers hold up to 60 players. Treat other survivors like extra pillars. Team Invincibility can cover a squeezed group; it does not enlarge the courtyard.
Will more maps be added?
Follow GeekOut Studio on the wiki links page and new weapons. This page only names arenas footage has shown.
