Patch Notes Timeline

This page is the dated spine for Survive the Swarm on Roblox. It is a reconstruction. GeekOut Studio has not posted a long written patch dump, and no public Trello turned up. Every row below names its source: the place listing, a studio social post, an archived weapons sentence, or a community clip. If a date is missing, the row says so. If a feature is only a teaser, the row says that too. Do not flatten this list into “the game updated on August 20 and therefore everything shipped that morning.”

Place id 138955781346212. Free to play. Servers up to 60. Solo or group. The live title currently reads Survive The Swarm! [UPD]. That bracket is a Roblox habit, not a changelog.

3 October 2025 — launch

Survive the Swarm is created and goes live as a GeekOut Studio Roblox experience. This is the hard date. Everything else on this page happens after a working insect-horde loop: auto-attack weapons, WAVE timer, kiting, level-ups from round XP. If you need the player-facing tutorial rather than the calendar, use getting started and the Guides Hub.

November 2025 — studio gameplay posts

GeekOut Studio socials in November show swarm gameplay and tell players to upgrade weapons and abilities. That is not a numbered patch. It is confirmation that the survivor-like loop — move, auto-attack, spend a level-up — was the public pitch months after launch. Treat November as mood and onboarding, not as a weapon name drop.

December 2025 — exterminator copy and the 12/24 weapons line

Two December signals, different clocks.

Studio copy: “Somebody call an exterminator.” The same posts spell the economy of a round. XP earned during the wave boosts weapon loadout and health. You can run solo or group. That sentence is why filling the multi-weapon bar feels like the point of Survive the Swarm rather than a side shop.

Archived patch sentence, interpreted as 24 December 2025 because the game launched in October: “12/24: Added new weapons, UI improvements, balance & bugfixes.” No roster in that line. Confirmed later with sources: boomerangs in official screenshots, Machine Gun in community loadouts. How those tools appear as slots is the entire new weapons article. UI improvements are why WAVE, timer, HP, LVL, the bar, dash, currency, Team Invincibility, and STUN ALL ENEMIES can share one HUD.

January 2026 — turret, Discord, lobby, customization teasers

January socials are teasers, not HUD proof. GeekOut Studio previewed a deployable turret and told players to keep distance from insects. The studio pointed at Discord (discord.gg/8rVyEvcbyJ). Instagram previewed a new lobby walk-through and character customization color combos. None of those three are listed as live HUD tools on this wiki. Today’s bar still shows weapons, Shift or Space dash, currency, and the two 49-cost, 30-second powerups. Until a turret icon, a new lobby flow, or a color-combo screen is something you can tap in a session, they stay on this timeline as January previews.

Keep distance from insects is not a teaser. That is the kite, and it was already the game. The maps guide and Trenchline pages exist so you have somewhere to stand while you wait for a turret that may still be a preview.

Trenchline — named map, no ship date

Trenchline appears in current builds as a named arena with pillars and kite space. Community clips include a wave 76 clear and a difficulty run around wave 92. We do not attach a day-month stamp. Putting Trenchline under December or January would be fiction. It belongs here as a current map, documented on its own page, not as a guessed patch.

20 August 2026 — last listed Roblox update

The platform listing last shows 20 August 2026. The title still includes [UPD]. That is the latest platform clock, not a studio essay. It may include balance, UI, bugfixes, or quiet tools we cannot name without a source. This wiki will not invent a second weapons roster to fill the gap between January teasers and August. If a new confirmed name appears the way Machine Gun did — repeated community loadouts plus a clip — it goes on the weapons page first, then back here.

What the live HUD says shipped

Use the HUD as a veto. Live today: WAVE plus timer, HP, LVL, multi-weapon bar, Shift or Space dash, currency, Team Invincibility, STUN ALL ENEMIES (49, 30 seconds). Live economy: round XP into loadout and health; optional Robux can double some end-of-run rewards; codes still belong in the lobby before a grind. Not proven live by HUD: deployable turret, new lobby walk-through, character color combos.

How to read this page next time the title says [UPD]

  1. Check the Roblox listing date. If it moved, note the stamp here without guessing contents.
  2. Check GeekOut Studio Twitter, TikTok, Instagram, and Discord via the official links page. Quote what they showed, not what a comment wishes they showed.
  3. Check the HUD. If a teaser is now a slot, promote it from teaser to live on this list and on new weapons.
  4. Check clips. Trenchline wave counts are evidence of the arena, not of a secret patch name.
  5. Then play. Redeem codes, run the loadout checklist, and kite. A timeline does not clear WAVE 20 for you.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Quick answers for Survive the Swarm on Roblox.

Is this an official Survive the Swarm changelog?

No. GeekOut Studio has no public Trello dump we can quote. Dates mix the Roblox listing, studio socials, and clips. Start at the Updates Hub if you want the short map.

What happened on 24 December 2025?

The archived 12/24 line added new weapons, UI improvements, balance, and bugfixes. Details and loadout slots are on new weapons.

What is still only a teaser?

January 2026 posts previewed a deployable turret, a lobby walk-through, and character color combos. They are not treated as live HUD features on this page.

When did Trenchline ship?

Unknown. It is a named map in current builds. Read Trenchline rather than forcing it onto a December or January row.

Does 20 August 2026 tell me what changed?

Only that Roblox lists an update that day. We do not invent contents. Check the HUD, then GeekOut Studio posts on the official links page.

Where do I put this timeline into a run?

Redeem codes, follow getting started, then the loadout checklist. The calendar does not replace dash timing.
