Trenchline Map

Trenchline is a named Survive the Swarm arena players actually run. It is not a rumor mode invented for this wiki, and it is not a dated patch card. GeekOut Studio never posted a public Trello row that says “Trenchline ships on [date].” This page treats it as a map in current Roblox builds: a space with pillars, enough floor to kite, and community clips that name the place out loud. If you loaded into a session labeled Trenchline, you are in the right article. If you are still in the default grass field from the first-person thumbnails, use the maps guide for the broader layout talk and come back when the name appears.

We do not invent a patch date for Trenchline. The Updates Hub dates what we can date: 3 October 2025 launch, 24 December 2025 weapons and UI, January 2026 teasers, 20 August 2026 last listed Roblox update. Trenchline sits beside that list as a named map, not as a row with a day-month stamp.

What the community clips actually prove

Two public signals matter, and both are clips rather than studio notes. A Trenchline run reached wave 76. A separate difficulty clip is reported around wave 92. Those numbers are proof that the arena holds a long WAVE timer, not a promise that you will match them on a first solo. Servers still hold up to 60 players. A packed server changes how much floor you own even when the pillars stay put.

What the clips do not prove: a hidden boss name, a unique currency, or a one-time event calendar. They prove the HUD still reads WAVE, HP, LVL, and the multi-weapon bar inside Trenchline. The same 49-cost powerups — Team Invincibility and STUN ALL ENEMIES, 30 seconds each — still exist. The same Shift or Space dash still saves a bad circle. Treat Trenchline as Survive the Swarm with different geometry, not as a second game.

Pillars and kite space

The reason Trenchline has a name is the posts. Pillars break the pack’s straight line. Insects still swarm as a mass, but a column lets you reverse a circle without running through the middle. That is kite space: enough floor to orbit, plus objects that split the blob when you cut close.

How to use a post:

  • Pick one pillar as home. Orbit it. Do not hop posts every three seconds unless the WAVE timer just dumped a second ring on your current lane.
  • Cut close to the column when the pack stretches. The tail lags; gems often sit in that tail. XP during the round still boosts weapon loadout and health, so a pretty outer circle that never recrosses gems will stall LVL.
  • Dash through a gap, not through the core. Shift or Space is a 30-second plan, not a panic mash. If the gap is gone, STUN ALL ENEMIES at 49 is the cleaner reset.
  • Team Invincibility is the group tool when several players must cross the same door of insects. Solo, it is the “I misread the WAVE spawn” button, not a farming cooldown.

If a clip shows someone hugging a post with boomerangs looping the far side, copy the geometry, not the HP bar. Official screenshots already sell that returning-projectile kite. The new weapons page explains how those tools landed as loadout slots after 12/24.

Loadout that matches the arena

Trenchline rewards a slot that covers space and a slot that covers volume. Boomerangs paint the orbit. Machine Gun, when it appears on the bar, deletes the stretched tail so the next ring does not spawn on your heels. That pairing is the explicit goal on the loadout checklist. Rankings live on the weapon tier list and the how-to sits on the weapons guide.

Hero caution still applies. Mage deletes packed insects and melts HP faster than a sturdy starter kit. Trenchline pillars help Mage only if you already kite clean. A post will not save a player who stands still to “aim” an auto-attack. Finish the getting started loop on a simpler field before you treat wave 76 as a homework assignment.

How Trenchline fits the rest of the update record

Because we lack a ship date, do not write Trenchline into the December weapons sentence or the January turret teaser. Those are different clocks. The weapons patch added tools and UI. January socials previewed a deployable turret, a lobby walk-through, and character color combos that were not on the live HUD. Trenchline is a place you can load today. Keep the categories separate on the patch notes timeline and the Updates Hub.

Practical session order if Trenchline is the plan:

  1. Redeem codes in the lobby so the grind is not wasted.
  2. Confirm dash, powerup costs, and empty weapon slots with the Tools Hub checklist.
  3. Enter Trenchline, claim a pillar, and do not donate the first dash to empty grass.
  4. Spend 49 on stun when the orbit closes; save Team Invincibility for a forced cross or a stacked WAVE spawn.
  5. Leave if HP is leaking on Mage and you are still learning posts. A dead run teaches less than a wave 20 on open ground.

Official socials and the GeekOut Studio Discord invite live on the official links page. There is still no public Trello to watch for a Trenchline rewrite. Automation that claims to freeze WAVE inside this arena belongs on the scripts hub, not in a movement guide. The Guides Hub remains the kite school. Trenchline is just the classroom with columns.

Free to play still applies. Optional Robux can double some end-of-run rewards after a long Trenchline sit, but the pillars do not care what you spent. Sixty-player servers can crowd a lane; if the floor is gone, you are not “bad at Trenchline,” you are sharing posts. Rotate or reset. The map is named. The date it arrived is not.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Quick answers for Survive the Swarm on Roblox.

When did Trenchline come to Survive the Swarm?

We do not have a public ship date. Treat Trenchline as a named map in current builds, not as a dated patch. The dated list lives on the patch notes timeline.

What is Trenchline known for?

Pillars and kite space, plus community clips to wave 76 and a difficulty run around wave 92. Use posts as orbit points. See also the maps guide.

Which weapons work on Trenchline?

Boomerangs for the orbit, Machine Gun for the stretched tail when that slot appears. Pair them with the new weapons notes and the weapon tier list.

Should I spend 49 on stun or Team Invincibility here?

Stun when the orbit around a pillar closes. Team Invincibility when you must cross the pack or a stacked WAVE spawn. The loadout checklist has the spend rules.

Is Trenchline a good Mage map?

Only if you already kite. Mage trades HP for damage. Pillars help a clean circle and punish a standstill. Read Mage before you take the kit into a long WAVE.

Does Trenchline change codes or Robux rewards?

No. Redeem codes before the run. Optional Robux can still double some end-of-run rewards. The arena only changes geometry.
